It is no secret that I am not a big fan of Valentines Day, however I do love Feburary because people set aside time to treat the ones they love with great care and kindness. Kelsie gave a lesson for the week before Valentines and gave us an opportunity to give genuine and original expressions of love to our family members. We were given heart cut outs and told throughout the week to write something down about each member of our family that we appreciated or liked about them and tape it to that person's door. It turned out wonderful. It was nice to think deeply and come up with something that was truly appreciated. On Valentines Day the doors were littered with hearts. (side note - the hearts are still on Kameron, Kelsie, and Jed's door - some have even been repaired since Raeli loved to take them off. I just barely took down John's, mine, and Raeli's)
This Valentines was the best!! Oh ya - I also received a dozen beautiful and fragrant red roses from my hunny :)
