Coupon Queen

I am officially embarassing to my family (sometimes even to myself).

One of my favorite things is to save money or to find a good deal.

One of my least favorite things to do is to groccery shop. It always has been and I don't even have the excuse of having little ones that are cranky because we have been around food that I keep telling them they can't have.

My wonderful sister-in-law Sunny introduced me to a wonderful way to lighten my misery in shopping. She introduced me to couponsense (I dont know if it is available everywhere but I am sure some version of it is). It helps organise the sales with the coupons that are still valid for your maximum savings. I have never really like clipping coupons ~ but this program makes it so easy to clip and shop.

I just got back from my first stop and yes there was a line and yes I am sure if I could read the guy-behind-me's mind he would be saying something like "Are you kidding me?" But that is just because he is jealous.

I bought 55 items and when all coupons were scanned and all deals calculated I only spent (drum roll....) $53.84. That is less than $1 per item.

My first month I spent about $150 less than I normally had been spending in grocceries - last month was even better!

It is so fun to save!! Thanks Sunny!!

WOW! I love bargains. This is something I'll definitely have to try. And in response to the 72 hr kit question, I've got my mom working on that one.
