So yesterday at church I was having contractions but definitely NOT paying attention to how close together they were or were not. Then on our 15 minute drive home it seemed like I had already had a couple within the first 10 min, so I decided to start timing them...just to see. I was not expecting them to be every 3 - 5 minutes. Yes they intensified - but I was still able to talk through them without a change in my breathing and I was able to continue standing without having to stop what I was doing. So I kept saying maybe we should go - but it never felt like I really needed to go - so then I kept saying - if they are still going strong after I am done with (fill in the blank) then we will go. They lasted for 2 hours at 3 to 5 minutes apart and then just stopped.
How the heck am I suppose to know when to go to the hospital???? I have never had that happen - they never stop once they are that close together.
No worries - Kam has volunteered to deliver the baby if John passes out or is not available. I am still thinking I want to be at the hospital for that though.
And for those of you that think I should have gone...I have never wanted to go into the hospital for false labor - I am not a fan of hanging out at the hospital for hours and then getting sent home.
I am confident that we will make it to the hospital in time - it is only a 25 - 30 minute drive and my shortest labor was 4 hours...plenty of time.

Wow! You are getting so close! As for the 4 hour thing. You never know, this labor could go much quicker. I hope she stops "teasing" soon and gets down to business ;o). Good luck with everything!
Oh my gosh . . . I can't wait . . . I can't wait . . . I can't wait!!!
Robyn, I am so excited for you guys - it's fun to hear you talk about all that stuff, but so, so, so grateful it isn't me this time!!!
