Kameron has left the Nest

Friday Jan 2nd, I drove Kameron to her new home for the next 6 months. It was a little surreal. It does not really feel like I dropped her off to live in another city with another family. It feels like I just dropped her off at a friends house and I will be back to pick her up in a week. I am sure it will hit me within the next week when school starts and Kelsie and Jed come home and it feels different not having her here. We love her and will miss her very much even though she is only 3 1/2 hours away.

I am so not ready for any of my kids to "leave the nest". Well at least this might make it easier when or if she goes out of state for college. She is only 3 hours away. But I'm sure it just doesn't feel the same to not have her there. I'm glad you get to go through this first, then you can help me when its my turn.

I can't say i know how you feel, but i do know that Kameron will do great on her own. i loved being on my own, it is definitely a growing and learning experience.
